Design Edge

Design Edge Magazine Layout
So this is a project where we were to design a spread entirely in our own style to showcase our styles. We had free rang. The article is about a design studio in denvur, and i wanted to get that hand craft feel of the studio with my style added. I really enjoy the way it turned out.

Thirteen Reasons Why

Book Cover #1
For colour class we have to design three book covers(one per week), using colour to help emphasize the theme of the book. I chose Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. An amazing book, i would recommend to anyone.

Design Cosmology

Cover and MasterHead

Inside Spread
So this project in design class we were given a made up magazine, Cosmology. We were then to create a master-head, magazine cover and a two page spread for the inside of the magazine. It was a lot of work, but I really enjoyed doing this project. It brought together other skills we've been honing on in type class and others. I am pretty satisfied how everything turned out.

Color

Color 1

Color 2
These are my first two color class projects. We're currently working with illusions and distortions. Color 1 is using basic geometric forms and color to create certain illusions written under them. Color 2 is where we had to use only color and type to create a mural on the wall that had an illusion, distortion, or effect happening in them.

Typography

Typography 1
Typography 2

These projects are from Type class every Tuesday. These two spreads are based on the Magazine Afar, a travel magazine. Basically we're given all the information and told to make an appealing spread.

Structural

First Structural Project.

This class is based on the book The Cheese Monkeys by Chip Kidd. Each week we read a chapter then pick a sentence out of the chapter and create a conceptional piece based on that, in the style of the time of the book. So around 1950s.
